A Walk Near Squaw Peak

Mom and Dad with the two of us. Whose bum is that behind us?? We'll never tell. Bol!!
That handsome fellow holding our leads is Dad! Mom took that picture looking for shadows.

We went for an awesome walk near our condo a couple days ago. The folks and our hooman sissy and her husband all walked up the little peak right where we live. That Christmas tree made out of lights is put on the hill every year by the Point Hilton, who is our next door neighbor. At night it looks like a real tree. There were lots of cacti and other thorny plants too. We didn't see any rattle snakes or critters, though we know that there are javalina, quail, roadrunners and bobcats on that hill. It was lots of fun going with the whole family. Then when we got home, we all took a nice, lonnnnnng rest!

You Will Never Guess Our Wonderful Surprise!!

Today Daddy took us both out to Smelly Dog ( http://www.smellydogaz.com ) to get our hairs washed & nails clipped. Not our favorite thing to do, but we got to be with our dad, so we were happy. When we returned home, to our great amazement and surprise, this is what we saw over the fireplace! Take a good look pooches and poochettes. Yes, an Airedale and a Welsh Terrier were both at the first Christmas!! We were so happy to see that, because we have heard all the cool things that Jesus did when He grew up and how He is waiting for us on the other side of the Rainbow Bridge with all our friends. As Christians, our folks are getting ready to celebrate one of their high holy days and are reflecting on all Jesus has done for them in their lives, and giving thanks. We are just thrilled that we can play a small part in that!!

Helping Trim Our Little Tree & Happy Birthday Jess!

We put up this little Christmas tree on Saturday. Most of our decorations are up north, so we made do with some that were in a box that belonged to our hooman sissy. Some of them were ones that she made when she was a little girl. Today is her 31st birthday, so they are pretty old! Sooooo, I am dedicating this post to our very own sissy, Jessica.

Hootie ~ The Duck & Me...

Okay, there is this duck that Hootie loves. It quacks and is so tempting to me. Well, I watched him playing with it and enjoying chewing on it, and I got jealous. Yes, I took it from him. There was this rukus, then our stupid mommy jumped in and gave it back to him. Sheesh.

What's An Airedale to do??

Uh Oh...We Left Rupert Alone In Idaho!!

Sadly, this is the last we'll see of our wheelie brother, Rupert Wheelbur Lambert, for a while. Mommy LEFT HIM in N.Idaho!! Yup. We sure hope he is under the covers now, as it is mighty cold up there. We're in Phoenix now, so we'll be posting snowless pics for you soon...That is unless Mommy leaves us somewhere and forgets about us. Sheesh!

Happy Thanksgiving ~ What We're Thankful For...

Here Hootie and I are keeping warm by the fire. We're thankful for our fireplace. We both got our hairs cut last Thursday so we need to get extra warmth. We are thankful that we get groomed by wonderful Jody. If you would like to see us playing in the snow on Thanksgiving Day past, just click on this: http://hootieandbabyrocketdog.blogspot.com/2009/11/early-thanksgiving-wish-from-farrr.html Hootie was a little shrimp back then! Bol. We sent our daddy outside to bring the wood in for us. This is when we got about 2 feet of snow. We're thankful for our daddy!

Here's a shot from our deck 4 days ago. This owl is supposed to keep the dumb birds from hitting our window. We are thankful that we are pooches, and NOT birds!
It "warmed up" to 40F degrees and started raining yesterday and now there is lots of GREAT slush all over! We are very thankful for the great outdoors that we can run in. We're looking forward to a tasty Thanksgiving meal tomorrow & hope all our friends have a Happy Thanksgiving Day too! We love you all!!

Our Version of Doga...

Here I am warming up!

Hootie thinks his hind legs need to have more definition. Here he's working to that end.
Not wanting to brag, but I'm thinking here I show my perfect "bow" form.

Phew! That was quite a workout. Now we're ready for some treats. Hey Maaaaameeeee!!

Mr. Hairy "Hootie" Houdini Goes to The Pooch Parlor

These two are my "before" shots.

These two are my after shots.

I went to The Pooch Parlor on Thursday all by myself. Mommy wanted to try out the groomer there and thought I was the better candidate, since my hairs grow so much faster than Baby's. She was more expensive than our normal groomer, but we think she did a nice job. What do you think? Do these pictures make my head look big?? I really am perfectly proportioned. Really.

Rupert Here! Some Other New Friends...

This black bear is harmless. He just sits here and holds the TV remote control. Mom's buddy Cathi gave it to her. And, the little alpaca is a fun companion. He is really soft and nice for cuddling! Speaking of cuddling, are there any single, female wheelies out there?? Just curious. Signing off for now!

Doing A Lot of This Lately...

We know, it's been way too long since posting here. We've been tired. Yeah, that's our excuse. You can tell by these photos that it is true. Oh, and we did go visit our bestest friend Tica2 in Montana and did a little laying around AND begging from her moma, Ilse. She is from Germany and makes the best food! What have you been up to lately?? We'll be stopping by 'cause we sure miss our buddies. Mom, you're fired as secretary! Oops, nevermind. You're all we have. Oh well.

K9 Karnival Fun Last Saturday For Pawsitive Works

Here Hootie is getting a pooch massage by licensed therapist Stephanie. Ooooo that feels good!

Hellooooo camera...Aren't I pretty in my fluffy collar?? This Lab behind me thought so fer sure!

Anyone wanna scratch my soft belly? Come on...look how cute I am. Pleeeeeease?

Yes, children wanted to be just like us so they had their paws transformed into pooch paws!Cool!

Mommy finally got home from Grama's and sprung us from end of summer camp at Happy Tails on Wednesday. We told her it's time for her to spend quality time with US and we want her full attention. She took us for a nice long walk along the Deep Creek Trail and gave us peanut butter popsicles. Then on Saturday we had so much fun schmoozing with folks and pooches at the K9 Karnival. It was an event to raise $$ and awareness for Pawsitive Works. It benefits both pooches and kids. You can find out more about this worthy cause by going to http://pawsitiveworks.com/ . Okay, gotta go now cause it's time for Mommy to lavish more love on us!

FOUND!! BabyRocketDog Is Missing

228am ~ She just came home! Nevermind. Thanks Maggie,Mitch & Sue!!

Please pray that BabyRocketDog is found safe very soon. It's 2:10am and BabyRocketDog IS MISSING. She ran off (after a deer I think) around 11pm. I've gotten in the car and looked for her for over an hour and even took a flashlight and looked around my woods. She, under normal circumstances comes when I blow a whistle. No response.I called Sheriff dispatch and she hasn't been turned in. I'm beside myself. She is no where to be found. I'm praying that someone just didn't call me because it's so late. I'm giving up for the night. I asked dispatch to call me at any hour if she is turned in. I'm so afraid for her. I hope someone doesn't plan on keeping her. I just got home to Idaho today and picked her and Hootie up at Happy Tails around 5pm. She must be so confused now. Please pray for her safe return and use your PawPower.

Thank you. Cassie

No Wheel-bur Today!

Above pic is BabyRD looking up at me. Below pic I,Hootie, am checking out the loft steps. See the cool koala that our friends Molly and Inky sent us from Oz? He sits on that post, taunting us all the time. Mommy says he's for "look at". Sheesh.

Not sure what we are looking at here, but whatever it was, we were quite interested!

Hootie's shadow at night. Doesn't he look like some sort of robot dog with bolts for ears?! BOL

Here we are in our outside kennel, quietly awaiting Mom's return. When the weather is warmer and she won't let us stay in the car, she will put us here to escape the heat.

Today Rupert Wheel-bur Lambert doesn't get to commandeer our blog. Our mommy is away and we are at Auntie Kate's kennels, so will regale you with a few photos from a few weeks ago. Hope you all are having a good week.

A Hard Day of Playing Ball

I'm a total ball-nut! Basically, there is nothing I love more than a good game of fetch. I actually don't ever want to stop, even when my tongue is hanging out and I'm exhausted. Mommy makes me go inside when she thinks I look too worn out though. Here are a few photos of one of our most recent games of fetch. Hope you enjoy them!
