Going Up North & Rodeos ~ Yippee Ky Oh Ky Ai!!

Mommy's getting all excited about going home to our log cabin in Idaho and the fever is catching. I am feeling the wander lust myself! Once there Hootie and I will be free to roam our little patch of forest and if we are good, will get to ride down town when the folks go to check the mail. Real excitement. He he. The Kootenai River Rodeo in Libby, Montana is July 24-25 and the Bonner County Rodeo is in Aug 14-15. Both are top notch rodeos and we are really looking forward to putting on our cowboy hats and watching some bull riding, barrel racing and roping. Yee haw!!

When we get to farrr N.Idaho we do not have a land line or an internet hook up at our place, so our time on the internet will be limited to visits to the library and Mommy's favorite internet hangout McDuffs Brewing Company, Grill/Irish Pub. She says the beer cheese soup is delish. I wouldn't know, as she never offers to share it with me. boooo.

Okay, better go now, as it is the wee hours of the morning here in Phoenix. Hope you enjoy the rodeo photos we posted (they're from the internet) to get you all excited about rodeos too!
Well, Blogger went down just as I was ready to post this, so it's just a few hours late. Have a good day all!

Oh Janie you have the cutest southern accent. Are you spoken for yet??
Smooches, Hootie

Please disregard Hootie. He suffers from little dog syndrome. I know,as his big sis and a fellow Airedale, that you do NOT want to get involved with him. His bite is actually worse than his bark!! See that photo of "happy" feet on the sidebar??

We have seen a rodeo so were very excited by your pictures!
We were also excited by the thought of a log cabin - sounds very cosy and romantic.
Make sure you enjoy your break and if you do spot a Highland cow at least you will know what it is!!!
Lots of pictures please.

Checkers, Yes. We always find lots of trouble to get into.

Ooo Faya, we are gonna go to that website now so we get to know who's who in the bovind world! Thanks.

Diego, Maybe we could pitch in together and have them send us out a beer cheese soup to go! Deal?

P,P & P, Yup, we escape the heat---usually we're gone by now, cuz it is HOT now!! Our mommy is a big heat sissy and gets something called hot flasks. The hot flasks some how make her burn up inside and out. Cooler weather helps her not burn up so much.he he.Hoomans, go figure.

Penny, You silly, we'll keep in touch with our buddies, just not the luxury of so much.

Moco, Yes for sure we'll stay away from the hooves. I was scared by a horse when I was just about 6 months old...well, not the horse so much as the electric fence the horse was behind. Anywhooo,I keep my distance.

Martha and Bailey, Scotland has rodeos?? Woohoo! What do Scottish cowboys wear? Our log cabin was Hootie's first home, so he is really anxious to get back. For sure mommy will keep taking photos of us. Maybe she can link some of her old posts of the cabin to our blog. That would be good. Thanks for the idea ladies!!

Little man went to a rodeo last year and loved it, only problem was trying to explain to him that he can't try the same when he's riding!

Have a blast!

Gail is green with envy at your spending summer in N. Idaho. Apparently, in pre-dog days she spent two of the best weeks of her life hiking in Glacier National Park, not a million miles away. Sounds like you will be getting lots of wonderful walks. But be careful at the rodeos Baby, I'm not sure those horses are always looking where they tread!
Cheers, H.
