Hello everybody. Yesterday was my birthday and I had a terrific day. Many of you remembered and sent me such nice wishes. That touched my heart. And Paco, Milo and Maya sent me the very coolest card. Unfortunately we can't figure out how to get it on our blog. I just want to say THANK YOU for your kindness!!

the Store Lady brought out of the refrigerator. $28.00!!

So, we're on our way home now. Hootie had to stay out in the car when we
went into the store. He was happy when I told him Mom & Daddy got me
some of that delicious BarkScotti. He knows I'll share with him.

- thank you for the question about whether the NSLM will need another assistance dog. In truth, we don't know - this programme is relatively new to Ireland - only five years here and whether Murray as a 15 year old would want or need the dog with him all the time is something we just don't know yet.
Murray will not grow out of his autism - no, however he has made huge progress over the past 8 years since he was diagnosed and we just hope he continues to make even more. He will always be autistic but his autism is what makes him the very special kid that he is. He has a cousin with Aspergers - who is a lot more higher functioning than him - going to a normal school etc but that's the way it is with autism. It is a huge broad spectrum with some kids with no speech and lots of difficulties at the lower end and then kids who do great and you would hardly know they are autistic at the very higher end of the scale. Murray, I guess is somewhere in the middle of the scale. Thank you for your interest and I hope we have explained all that okay.
