That's one of my favorite photos of Hamish and how I like to remember him: posed as a mascot for the Scottish Highlands in the background, a hint of Spring and warm weather on one side and an expression that says "what's our next adventure?" All that's missing is a wee dram of Highland Park!
I didn't get to know Hamish, until he took off for the rainbow bridge, that is. Now, I get to know a lot about him from his wonderful forever furiends. Twinkie
Thank you so much for posting this tribute in remembrance of my dear Hamish. It really has comforted me, to know that so many of our friends have taken the time to put together these lovely posts in his memory. That photo of Hamish overlooking the loch, with the daffodils, and him looking so handsome is one of my very favourites. Well I shall continue to keep up with all my favourite blogs, and feel duty bound for Hamish's sake to keep track of BbyRD especially! Thank you again and very best wishes, Gail.
Whata lovely tribute. All here in Square Dog house are so very sad about dear wee Hamish too Baby RD and are thinking of Gail. We saw she left you a lovely comment, quite set us off again.
We were very sorry to hear about Hamish. Too many of our loved ones, both human and furkids, have passed on in the past two weeks. With tears, Miley and Pat (Miley's Mom)
It's probably a good thing that we didn't think about how attached we'd get to our blogging family of furries and fuzzies, or we might not have been able to talk Moma into blogging. It hurts like they are our own when we lose them. This was a lovely tribute to Hamish. And we can tell from Gail's comment, that it meant as much to her as it did to us.
Thank you for helping to express the love and support in this wonderful community. Love Jake and Fergi xxoo (and our people)
I am a female, Airedale Terrier and my name is Baby Rocket Dog. I answer to Baby, Babe and even Rocket. I was born on Feb.1st,2007 and my birth Mother's name was Lucy and father was Poof. The bi-peds who are now my parents adopted me from a man from Flagstaff, Arizona when I was 8 weeks old. My little "brother" is Hootie, a Welsh Terrier, and Mom got him on June 30th,2008 from State Line, Washington. His birthday is May 6th,2008.He adores me, as a younger sibling should. I make sure he knows what the pecking order is in our household and only have to put him in line about once a day. I do most of the talking for Hootie.

So sweet of you - it's been a month of unexpected memorials, so sad.

What a sweet looking little dog. My sympathies to both his human and critter families.
We didn't know Hamish but it makes us sad to know that another pup has crossed. He was certainly very well-loved by so many.
