Just a quick note. We both went to our vet, Dr. Hall, today and got our yearly shots and check up. He said my (BRD) teeth are perfect with NO tarter!! Hootie had a little on his 2 back teeth and Doc got rid of it. Then Mommy asked a strange request of him: Would you make sure they don't have ringworm? He got out his black light and checked us out thoroughly. Also gave a good visual. No ringworm here. No ringworm there. Then Mom surprised us by telling him she thinks she has that fungus on a spot on her belly!! (Her Dr. appt. is on Thursday.) Image our shock and dismay. We sure hope she doesn't pass that on to us. Sheesh! If you really wanna be grossed out, go online and google ringworm...Our mom is a paranoid freakaziod after reading all that stuff. More later cats and jammers!

That would be scary - my Mom is also freakazoid about such things too. When she saw a tick on the ground at the local park - she went over over me with a fine tooth comb - even though I told her I have tick treatment every month mom!!!
Nasty. keep away from mom!!!
or at least make sure shes well covered up lol!! I thought you where going to say she got the vet to take alook!!!
Have a good week

OMD OMD Hootie and BRD... Your MOM might have Ring O Worms!!! I had a worm in my CHEST furs last week. Maybe your mom and I could start a Support Group!!!!!
My mom just picked the worm off me... Butt he wasn't in a Ring though. Do you want my mom to come and pick at your moms belly?
She would do it... fur sure.
Let me know.
Glad that you guys had a clean bill of health. Hope mom doesn't have anything to worry about. Maybe it is just dry skin or something?

Glad you both had good visits at the vet. Thunder has his next week and Ciara needs to get on booster shot for that canine influenza. We will cross our paws that Mom's spot on her tummy is nothing much at all.
Woos ~ Phantom, Thunder, and Ciara
I pawsonally has nefur had the ringworms but I has had many foster kittehs in my house wot had it but mom keeped them far, far away from me. Mom has seened ringworm so many times she can diagnose from across the room. Rilly, tho, the black lite cannot tell fur sure. The only way be to send your furs (not all, just a little) to the laboratorium to gets some culture and I only knows this from firstpaw eggsperiences.
So, your Mom could be considered a 'fun guy'? ;-) (Blame Mom for that - she likes bad puns...) Glad to hear you two are well, and we'll hope your Mom is well too!

Dearest BRD & Hootie... I just had to come back. I'm feelin kinda bad about having FUN at your poor mom's expense. I really hope that she doesn't have the worm thingy.
I sent Puddles an email... hours ago.. butt she hasn't gotten back to me yet... I'm thinkin she is busy... helpin her mom find where she stored her blacklight.
Iiiiiiii'm baaaaaack...we found da black light and we is cleared, we has no ringworms...WHEW!!!! Oh and no lice eithers...dat can also be found withs a black light too. Apparently mum reads too much.
But I didn't knows how contagious it is...afters mum did hers google search...afters her hurled...and kittehs and doggies and hoomans can all pass it...DID NOT knows dat!

Yea for good vet visits!
Boo for ringworm. Funny (more ironic) I had a dream last night that I had worms under the skin of my face. It was so disturbing! They were super long skinny worms and I could see their outline going down my cheek. *shudder*
Hope your mom is okay!
Oh no, please tell Mommy to get some finger nail polish to put on her "worm." Make sure she is covered up when she gives you attentions. Oh Hootie, I miss you sometimes. I can't wait for your flat self to come to Andy's barkday party.

Well, Mommy got her doc appt changed and the doc said it looks like she has done the right thing by using an anti-fungal cream. Thanks for the good wishes.
Glad your Mom got that cream - it is quite a common fungus - just sounds really bad - RINGWORM! Yikes, but stay away from the humans - you never know where they have been?

Good to know your toofies are in perfect shape but noooo!! Not ringworm! I had those nasty things before. It was all over me. There were 2 on my belly, 1 on my thigh & 1 on my lip just below my nose. I got it from a little stray kitty cat. Till today, you can still see the missing hair follicles on my lip. The ringworm killed off some of the hairs & it took forever to heal! It was awful & it even passed onto Chloe & hoomie Melissa.
I hope the doctor prescribed some medication & cream for you.
We hope your mom checks out okay. Thank goodness you guys are clean!
Love ya lots

Our Peeps went to visit some friends the other day and the first thing Mom noticed on one of them was a ringworm. Of course, tactful woman that she is, Mom just blurted it out - "have you got a ringworm?" Our friend said she knew she had an itchy place but didn't know what it was. Mom suggested she see a doctor ASAP. Needless to say, there was no hugging going on when they left - BOL!!

Nope, can't go look at that site. My mom will start itching or something if she does. Just mention fleas or ticks and she starts itching. Hope there is no fungus among yus (I know, not a real word but I try!)

Honestly, sometimes you just can't take these humans anywhere!
Talk about embarassing - what must the vet have thought!
There's you two looking good with your sparkly gnashers and your mom throw that in!
Well she certainly didn't get it from you two.
We suggest you introduce barrier snuggling with her - just to be on the safe side.......!!
Much love
