Pooches & A Few Hoomans On The Folks' Trip Back East

This top photo was taken at a rest stop in New York state. So, why is Mommy looking so happy that pets are prohibited?? We don't get it. She says she wanted to show us that we would have felt that we were being persecuted if we went with them. Hmmmmm.

This Boxer's name is Layla. Her mama owns a really cool gift shop that is housed in some refurbished railroad cabooses and her Grandpa was Sullivan County's veterinarian. The folks met her and the next 2 pooches while at a craft show in Pennsylvania.

This boxer is Laila Ali. Ohhhhhhhh. Now we get it! Boxer ~ boxer. This fellows name is Vedder.

This floofy girl's mama said she doesn't like other dogs. Can't understand that.

Now here are the Golden Retriever pups we told you about. They were almost 6 weeks old and lived with their mama inside cousin Jan & Mark's home in Massachusetts. Looks like they are practicing fetching the newspaper at a very young age!

These two little GoldenBoys were the only ones in their litter. Wish we could have met them.

The (lady) hoomans look funny in this picture, but we wanted to show you the beautiful GoldenGirls. Mommy says they were merely laughing, and no alcohol was involved!
This is cousin Samia and Clayton with tri-ped pooch,Sadie, & one-eyed Schnauzer, Bradley. They both belong to Uncle Wayne. He rescued Sadie from horrible abuse.

This is Mommy with Sadie. She is part Pit, part Lab. (Sadie, not Mom.BOL.)

The folks stopped here in MA to get some pressies for us. Look at all that good dog food!!

This ad made Mommy chuckle. Does this look like Twinkie??

This is El Gato, sissy's Chartreux cat. Mommy visited him in Seattle on her way home. He is very afraid of dogs, so we have never met him. He also doesn't travel well.

Well, that's all the animal photos that the folks took on their trip. Daddy is back down in Phoenix in the heat (109 degrees F. yesterday) working and we are taking care of Mom here in the cool mountains of N.Idaho. Have had a fire in the fireplace all day! Sorry Pop. Miss you.

I forgive you, because it was a really nice post. I do however think that the "elk" looked more like Mango, I thought.

Oh we did so want one of those adorable puppies!
Lots of cute dogs but we can't resist a puppy!
That looks like a great trip - what a pity pets were prohibited.
That looked like a great pet shop with lots of yummies - we hope your humans maxed out the credit card on yummy treats for you both.
Well, as we see it, it is the very least they could do.
