Sorry We've Been Out Of Commission...Blame Mom

First off, please beg my pardon. (This is me bowing, asking for your pardon.) The hoomans at our place have been a little side-tracked since the unfortunate deer incident and blogging has taken second fiddle to insurance wrangling. It still continues, but at least we convinced Mommy to get her priorities straight and get on the stick (to blog)!! In fact, some time next week she will actually get an attachment for her laptop that will bring internet to our cabin...We are soooo excited. She'll still take free wi-fi where she can, 'cuz she is quite thrifty by nature. (Dad wanted to get this for her a year ago but cheap, er, thrifty, Mom said no.)
Here is brother and me looking cute for the camera. We are in heaven being home again.
Is it me, or does Hootie look fat??

Here are a few close ups of him.
I don't know why he's smiling. He looks like a fat little tan & black sheep to me!

Well, we both need haircuts. Really, really badly!! Tomorrow Mommy will be taking us to our favorite groomer in the whole world, Miss Jody. It should be a long day, as we are pretty bushy and I (BRD) do not like to let Mom comb my hair soooo I am kind of ratty. Hootie's hair is much longer, but he likes to get his hairs brushed so he's not so bad.

We can hardly wait to get our internet connection so we can catch up on all of your bloggies. Sure hope you all are doing okay.

Smooches from,
BabyRocketDog (we left Hootie up at the cabin...howling. BOL!!)

You'll be surprised at how nice and thin Hootie is when Miss Jody gets finished. Our silly Mom thought Piper was getting too tall for conformation and was chasing him around the house with a yard stick trying to measure his height. When she stripped a lot of that winter coat off, Piper was 2 inches shorter and looked like he'd lost 5 pounds!!

Good luck at the groomer.

XOXO

We're glad you all made it home safely! Yes, Hootie is looking slightly pudgy, but we're sure it will go away once he is groomed!

Hootie looks great, all that fur makes him look fuller - at least that's what we think:) Good to hear from you, and we hope you can get back to blogging soon.

Don't you pups worry. Getting behind in blogging seems to be a real epidemic lately, and we too are affected! The good news is that since som many are behind, it's easier to catch up!

Welcome home! It must be so good to be home! And we're guessing it's cool enough, still, to enjoy your longer furs for a day or two more. (Plus you look totally squeezable.)

And ... Moma says to not apologize for getting behind. We've backed way off 'cause of all that's going on. But that doesn't mean we don't think about our friends, and visit. Even if we don't comment or posts our (boring) adventures of the week.

Enjoy being home!

Hi Hootie and BRD
Just dropping by to say hello. I just came to live with Gail a week ago, 'cos she was feeling lonely after her Hamish died. I'm a wire-haired fox terrier puppy and my name is Bertie and I already have my very own blog! I think you both look very nice in those photos and not fat at all!
Toodle pip, Bertie.

Hootie does NOT look fat at all, just fuzzy. That is a great look for a terrier.

Hope things are working out for your humans and their car. Insurance companies are not always the easiest folks to deal with.

Mango
