Happy Birthday Daddy!!

Oh sweet Daddy it's your birthday today! We've been looking all over for you. We had Mommy ring the bell hoping you'd come running over the hill the way we do. No such luck. No Daddy.

Hootie gave his cutest little dog-urchin look. Still no Daddy.

Finally I decided just to lay down and mope 'cause Mommy said you're working and have to spend your birthday all alone this year. Poor Daddy. We love you and miss you. We'll call you tonight and slobber on the phone to you!! Happy Birthday!!

XOXO- Baby & Hootie

AN EXPLANATION OF THESE PICTURES WILL FOLLOW QQ & AA.

Yes friends, it is once again time for our question & answer segment. We are opening up our comment section for any and all questions (qq) that you might wish to pose, so please feel free. Here are some examples of most recently asked qq and our replies:

Our hoomans' little senior moments are becoming worryingly more frequent. How would they cope without us?

BRD: It is a fact that they couldn't find their tail without our help. Just yesterday Mommy asked where Hootie was and I had to remind her that he was standing outside the door waiting to come inside!

Inky and Molly said...
Ah well, does it really matter??

Hootie: Very deep thought Inky & Molly! One must ask does anything really matter? Then my quick response would be, "YES!! Bring me my chow on time...this waiting around 'til half past 4 makes my stomach rub my backbone. Soooo MOM, dinner time matters!!"

Hamish Westie said...
That's a beautiful mug. But I expect you're going to tell me that you're not allowed to drink from it? Cheers! H

BRD: Helloooo Handsome Hamish! How ya doing? Oh yes, the question. You are correct, we are not allowed to drink from the You're Grand cup. Our mommy is actually saving it to give as a gift so no one in our house can use it. Phooey!

Eric said...
My mom has the same disease- must have travelled all the way over this side of the pee too! Your award was a very nice thought tho so your Mom might be recovering? Wiry wag n kisses Eric xxx

BRD & Hootie: Nope, the old gal's belt is still out of a few loops!

So now, please keep the questions coming and we'll answer them right here on our next post.

On to another subject. Seems like Hootie is acting like the male counterpart to Lacie. On Monday Mommy took us to the dog park in Sandpoint and there was this adorable little Staffordshire (pitbull) Terrier pup there. He was about 4 months old, a little larger than Hootie and so cute. Our Mommy told the young man that owned him it's good to socialize them young and went on to tell him about one down in Phoenix at the dog park that attacked Hootie and how that upset her 'cause he was bleeding and the owner had to pull it off of Hootie. Well, don't know if Hootie sensed that this was the same breed or what, but he decided to act like top dog and growled deeply and stood over the top of the poor pup making the toughest looking bitie face he knows. Mom pulled him off and was totally embarrassed since she was acting all know-it-ally about socializing pooches then he pulls this caper! I was very much like BabyStanley --- I kept my distance and acted innocent. Mom was proud of me as she carried Hootie from the park and I came along like the good girl that I am (most of the time). No wonder Hootie loves Lacie. He acts just like her!! (Pictures don't lie!!)

We Have Created A New Award ~~ 'Cuz Mom's A Slug!

Baby Rocket Dog and I have received so many nice awards from different friends and our rotten Mommy has been a real slug about posting them in the usual manner. The truth is, she did not make proper note of each of them and now has no memory of who awarded what or when. Yes, it's a sad fact that she is slowly loosing her mind. Luckily we remember where she keeps the dog food and treats or there would be real problems on the home front. So, this being said, we want to thank all our friends who have given us awards---even though we don't know who you are anymore. This "You're Grand" *award belongs to all the kind pooches who have recognized us in the past and that we have not reciprocated to. YOU know who you are and if this isn't the stupidest request, could you remind us by leaving a note?? Amends will be made!

Lots of smelly smooches,

Hootie

Oh My Dog!

Today I, Baby Rocket Dog your Canine Consumer Reporter, am excited to introduce you to a product that both Hootie and I have tried. It is a perfume called Oh My Dog! (exclamation point part of the name). All I can say is that it doesn’t smell like anything that we would normally like to roll in. Young & old hooman ladies want to cuddle with Hootie when he has it on and they make remarks like, “Oh isn’t he cute and he smells so good.” And, “You must have just had a bath. You smell wonderful.” Of course he loves all the attention and it usually brings him close enough to the hoomans to plant some nice sloppy kisses on their cheeks. I, being a real lady pooch, like the sweet smell just for my own satisfaction. I am including a photo of the box it came in, just in case any of our friends would like to give it a try. On my Poochie Paws scale I am giving Oh My Dog! a 4/5 (4 out of 5).

Until my next report, enjoy each moment of your day and try to help lift some hooman’s spirits!
