Helloooooo Pooches, Cats ‘n Jammers! Hootie has taken over our blog for several posts now, so I have decided it is time to take it back. So, it is time once again for answers to some of our friend’s burning (& not so burning) questions.Rocky Creek Scotties and Java said...
We often wonder if the excitement of the run is worth being tied up and on leash. But sometimes we try it anyway.XOXOLilly, Piper, Carrleigh and Java
Baby Rocket Dog: Though this was actually not really posed as a qq I’ll add my 2cents. Yes, the excitement is wayyyy worth it! I get Mommy to build up her trust in me, then ZAP!! --- I make a run for it. Chasing the deer and feeling the wind in my tail and the wet, dirty forest floor bushes scratching my back makes my imprisonment worth it for at least a few days. sigh.

Noah the Airedale said... We would like to know the answer to the question Inky & Molly asked about being allowed on the bed.tailwagsNoah Willow Tess Lucy
BRD: Well actually I am not allowed on their bed…but I jump up on it once in a while in pursuit of the Hootie or if there is something there that I desire. Our mommy experimented with letting me up there down in Phoenix last April, but their bed is small and really not enough room for the whole crew, so I was once again banished. Hootie on the other hand sleeps half the night up on their bed. Not fair really, but Mommy tries to make it up to me with fluffy doggy pillows all over the floor. BUT, guess what? I sleep on the sofa in the living room and don‘t usually have to share that with anybody! (the pics below are from down in Phoenix in April.)

I have a question: What is the best way for a proper Welsh dog to beg?
BRD: I’ll give this one to Hootie since he’s the Welshie around here. Take it Hoots!
Hootie: Well, ‘cuz I’m so cute I rarely have to beg, but I’m real good at sitting and staring up, looking really darling. I have tried sitting on my bum with paws cocked, but usually end up jumping. I’m an out of control jumper. Sorry Mom and Dad. It’s who I am. Not sure if other Welsh Terriers are as nuts as I am though.

what's the funniest or craziest thing you have done?
Hootie: Oh I get this one. Craziest thing: I nearly gave Momma apoplexy last December. She fell asleep for a nap and took off her diamond ear studs, hooking them together and laying them on her chest. Well, when she awoke she forgot about them. She heard me crunching on something…but I swallowed ‘whatever it was’ before she could get to me. A few hours later she remembered her earrings and searched all over the bed and the floor for them. Then, the light came on over her head! I ATE THEM!!! She called the vet and he said to search through my poo for a few days & if they didn’t turn up I’d need to go in for surgery. Well, she found all kinds of exciting things in my stool…candle wax and wick, stinky bugs & flys, the nose to her snowman ornament and finally at the end of day 2, her earrings. Yes, that was a day of rejoicing indeed. I was just glad that she was no longer following me around in 5 feet of snow with a plastic freezer bag!!
(these are the diamond earrings---the posts were both completely bent over! hehe.)

Sorry I forgot to ask a question. Can I ask two now to make up for it?Hootie. Are you REALLY in love with Lacie? If the answer is yes I have a further question for BRD!!!BRD. Hmm...think your welshie brother might be a sandwich short of a picnic?!!!Hah hah hah! Wiry wags n kisses Eric xxxx
Hootie: Yes, I love Lacie. She occasionally throws me a bone, and that’s good enough for me, because I also love Agatha and have my eye on a few other lovely lady pooches. I was signed up with Scooby’s dating service for a while, but decided I want to be free and play the field. I get mad crushes on many of the more full-figured pooches too, but so far none of them has shown an interest in compact, l’il ole me!
BRD: Yes, yes, you’ve nailed it Eric! He IS a sandwich & a pickle short of a picnic!!

We do have a little question..What are you afraid of in the dark??
BRD: I’m not really sure. I’ve always been a bit timid, especially for an Airedale so at night I tend to stick close to the cabin. (Certain noises really scare me so maybe it’s the
scary forest noises that keep me close to home.)

Sorry you are being grounded for a bit. Hoomans just don't have a sense of humour do they? hee hee.
BRD & H: Man, you can say THAT again!! We just keep smiling and hoping that Daddy and Mommy will eventually get the joke.

Ciao BRD and Hootie!I, Lucia, have a question, asked on behalf of la mia ragazza, who loves BRD's name. Here's the question:Baby Rocket Dog, how did you get your bellissima name??
BRD: Back when I was just a little 10# pup Mommy called me Baby. She went 2 days before giving me my full name because she wanted just the perfect name to describe me. When we’d go to the park I’d run like the wind, with my legs crossing, just like the picture for the famous Rocket Dog shoes.! That was how I became Baby Rocket Dog. (We have since found that the pooch for the Life Is Good brand has the name Rocket also!) Thank you soooo much for saying my name is bellissima!
Well friends, this wraps up our Q & A session. Hope you have enjoyed it as much as we have.
Smooches from pooches,
